Disgusting? Yes. But somehow also fascinating.

Maggots and leeches and bears, oh my! Doesn't have quite the same ring to it, but amazingly modern medicine is finding a place for maggots and leeches.

I am not enamored of the creepy crawly things. Even seeing them on TV tends to make me get all girly and squealy.

So the fact that I was able to read this story at all is a testament to my dedication to you, my Healthy Concerns readers, and your right to know the latest health care news.

So what do you think...would you go for the leeches and maggot treatments? I might, if they could somehow knock me out, so I wouldn't see them or feel them or have any awareness of them whatsoever!!

I can't even write anymore about it...I'm getting extremely grossed out.
