I don't know exactly when it started.
It wasn't always so.
But lately, whenever I travel via airplane, I come home sick. Usually I luck out for the duration of my trip, but by the time the plane touches back down at beautiful San Jose Airport, I'm feeling a little iffy, and a full-blown something ensues.
After returning from NYC (read all about it, if you're interested) last month it was a pretty nasty, lingering cold.
After returning from DC (read all about it, if you're interested) on Tuesday night it's this icky cough and fuzzy-headed feeling.
I find it interesting that I manage to wait until I return home to feel really impaired. I have long thought that your body cuts you some slack when it knows you have something important to do, and as soon as that's done it says "Aha! Now's my chance."
I've had several people recommend Airborne to me. And frankly when I look at the ingredients it just seems like a multi-vitamin to me. Plus a little ginger and echinacea. Actually I'd be concerned about the echinacea. The one time I tried taking it I had an allergic reaction, which is when I discovered that it's based on a particular type of flower and can in fact give people allergic to that flower allergic reactions. I guess that's me.
So, back to Airborne. Anybody out there have anything besides anecdotal and personal evidence that this actually works...and can explain why?
