Poignant post. Having worked with someone who was definitely going through this re-adjustment, I think it is something that either patients are not prepared for, or perhaps simply can't really be prepared for.

My mother is going through this situation right now. You have to be positive and not let cancer get the best of you. This is hard to tell people who have it. Attitude is the most important thing for getting through everything.
